CARA FIELD DAY EVENT - JUNE 26th, 2021

At LENN PARK, STEVENSBURG, VA.

Greetings. Hopefully you have found this page because you are interested in HAM (amateur) radio and want to join us in celebrating the 88th National Field Day for Amateur Radio.

Field Day is Ham radio's open house. Every June, more than 40,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio's science, skill and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since 1933, and remains the most popular event in ham radio.

We will be at Lenn Park in Stevensburg for 24+ hours starting June 25th, 2021 and continuing through early morning on June 27th. We will be operating in an outdoor/field environment. Our transmitting stations include High Frequency SSB (Voice) communications, Morse Code, Digital Modes, VHF/UHF, AND a GOTA (Get On The Air) set up where YOU can talk to another Amateur Radio operator.

We will be receiving guests/observers on Saturday (June 26th) from 8AM Saturday until 6PM, so feel free to join us.

Come prepared to ask questions and walk away with a better understanding of how and why we are so passionate about HAM radio.

There is NO CHARGE for you to attend, it is absolutely FREE!

NO Food or Drink is provided, but it is a great place to have a picnic, so bring your own!.

You'll need to wear a mask when inside the pavilion at the Park Grounds.
